Cardiovascular Technologist
The Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in Cath Lab/EP will support physicians during invasive cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including pacemaker placements and circulatory support device management such as IABP and Impella. This role requires a multidisciplinary technical skill set to ensure accurate data collection and safe, effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize sterile equipment and trays for each procedure.
- Assist with patient positioning, monitoring setup, and equipment calibration to ensure optimal procedural conditions.
- Operate and maintain pressure transducers, power injectors, and digital cine imaging systems per protocol.
- Assist in vascular access, sheath removal, and apply hemostatic closure devices while ensuring hemostasis.
- Monitor, interpret, and record hemodynamic data including cardiac output, oximetry, and arrhythmias.
- Maintain inventory, prepare equipment, and ensure compliance with CVIS practice standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or Applied Science (AAS) program.
- Certified in BLS and, within 3 months, obtain ACLS certification.
- Pass RCIS exam or hold Radiologic Technologist license within one year of hire.
- Proficient in intra-procedure electrophysiology mapping, ablation, and implant device techniques.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
