Cath Lab/EP Technician
The Cath Lab/EP Technician plays a vital role in supporting cardiology and electrophysiology procedures. They assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac interventions, ensuring a high standard of patient care and safety throughout all procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up the catheterization lab for scheduled procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and EP interventions.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in cath lab and electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide support throughout procedures.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Document procedure details accurately in patient records.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program.
- Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a cath lab or electrophysiology laboratory.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and related imaging tools.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
