Tech - Anesthesia

Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining anesthesia equipment, assisting staff with line insertions, and supporting clinical tasks related to anesthesia care. Works under supervision to ensure equipment functionality and supply management to facilitate smooth surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related monitoring equipment.
• Assist anesthesia staff during pressure line and monitoring device insertions.
• Prepare and assemble anesthesia supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Test, calibrate, and stock patient monitoring devices such as capnography monitors and laryngoscopes.
• Collaborate with staff and vendors to ensure quality and control costs.
• Perform routine clinical tasks within defined parameters and escalate issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's/technical degree preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; anesthesia training preferred.
• Minimum of one year recent experience as an Anesthesia Technician or in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Certification in anesthesia technology required or preferred.
• Knowledge of operating autoclaves, pressure lines, and monitoring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
