Senior Tax Manager – Technology & Emerging Growth
Location: Hybrid opportunity based out of any of the CA, NJ, or NY offices.
We’re partnering with a nationally recognized public accounting and advisory firm to identify a Senior Tax Manager to join its Technology & Emerging Growth practice. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of California, New Jersey, or New York , working with innovative startups, high-growth companies, venture-backed businesses, and their founders.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys serving fast-growing businesses through every stage of their lifecycle, from formation and fundraising through expansion and exit.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage tax compliance and consulting engagements for technology companies and emerging growth businesses.
- Advise clients on complex federal, state, and local tax matters, entity structuring, and tax planning strategies.
- Work closely with founders, executives, investors, and finance teams to provide proactive tax guidance.
- Review complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Assist clients through various stages of growth, including venture financing, acquisitions, restructurings, and exit transactions.
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff and managers while overseeing engagement execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Collaborate with specialists across the firm to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- 7+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Experience serving technology, software, SaaS, venture-backed, startup, or emerging growth companies.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and partnership taxation.
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing multiple client engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
