Job TitleJob DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance:Abide by all MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.Participate in company safety program including weekly meetings and monthly safety performance reports.Ensure compliance with air, water, and land-use permits.Collecting water samplesObtaining Smoke School CertificationQuality Control:Adhere to testing methods, including:American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO)Department of Transportation (DOT)Obtain daily representative samples of all products produced and or sold.Run appropriate physical and/or chemical test, depending product and usePhysical Test:GradationsAbsorptionsGravitiesSoundnessAny additional testing requirementsChemical:Elemental analysis using an XRFReview and log test results in QC database.Adjust blend parameters for products as necessaryWork with operations to correct issues including assisting in determining appreciate screen mediaEnsure all required third party testing is completed in a timely manner and results are recorded and stored according to company standardsMay require occasional travel to customer job site to collect additional samples and assist in resolving any issues.QualificationsEducation:Must have your high school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.Experience:3+ years of experience in aggregates or related testing field.Skills:Basic understanding of open-pit quarry operationsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsMust be proficient in Microsoft OfficeMust have a valid driver's licensePreferred but not required:KYTC Qualified Aggregate Technician, InDOT Qualified Aggregate TechnicianAny Aggregates testing qualifications in Indiana, Ohio, or West VirginiaMSHA certificationCement, lime or another industrial mineral experienceWork EnvironmentOutdoor quarry environment; exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and seasonal weather conditions.Frequent field presence required to inspect active mining areas.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.Flexibility:Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
