This is a strategic field-based role combining scientific leadership, stakeholder engagement, and operational support for clinical trial execution.As a Clinical Development Liaison, you will serve as a key scientific partner to investigators, study sites, and internal stakeholders, supporting study start-up, patient identification, enrollment strategies, and study conduct. In addition, as a Player-Coach, you will provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to fellow CDL team members, helping drive consistency, best practices, and operational excellence across the region.This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of innovative therapies for patients with serious neuromuscular diseases while collaborating with a highly experienced international Clinical Development team.Purpose of roleThe role of Team Leader (Player/Manager) is a hybrid role combining CDL activities with leadership of a small number of CDLs.The Clinical Development Liaison (CDL) is responsible for establishing a respected and valued presence for our client with researchers and opinion leaders working in a specific therapeutic area. They will engage in fair balanced scientific exchange and respond to requests for information about products and diseases of interest with key stakeholders. Through a thorough understanding of national and regional experts, they will gain insight into treatment patterns and trends that will be shared internally to shape strategy.The role is also the field-based leader and key contributor/coordinator to the overall remit of the client’s Medical Affairs organisation for the Amplity Medical team. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating operational requirements of the Amplity team to support the client’s Medical Affairs business.The specific deliverables being managed can vary and is defined in the contract Amplity holds with the client organisation.CDL Responsibilities:Education and EngagementEducate on science, our client, pipeline, trials, diseaseAssist Clinical Ad-Board coordination and execution for studiesAssist and attend National and International MeetingsAttend and support Patient Advocacy with sponsored eventsStudy Start-UpIdentify KOLs and create a working network for trialsServe as company’s ambassador for early phase studiesBoots on the ground to support scientific and operational aspects of trialsPatient Recruitment and EnrollmentSupport sites during study conduct with focus on site-start-up and patient enrollmentPartner with PIs and internal stakeholders to drive patient accrualSupport sites with creation of referral networksSupport identification of patients & referral networksStudy ConductsCoordination of discussions / visits with sites across Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, CROs and other APLS individualsProvide stakeholders with insights from interactions with InvestigatorsEmail updates post-communication to internal (& CRO) stakeholders about outcomes of discussionsHandover of interest / knowledge about publication interest / pub planning or potential investigator Initiated Trials (IITs)ComplianceOperate in a highly ethical manner and comply with all laws, regulations and policies.Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP’s, guidance are issuedTeam Leader Responsibilities:Lead/coordinate the activities of small teams or individual field CDLsAct as single point of contact (SPoC) to coordinate input e.g. insights, reports etc. into single regional view to streamline communication with client project leadWork with Amplity leadership to input and set team/individual objectives & KPIs in line with client Medical Affairs strategic aimsSupport Amplity leadership to ensure the team’s performance and alignment with the client’s field Medical Affairs objectivesAct as SPoC for client liaison with 3rd party vendors, as appropriate e.g. CROSupport the recruitment process when needed (interviewing, assessment centre participation, closing of the process with future team members) in a professional and compliant way with Amplity leadershipSupport the on-boarding of new ream membersKey accountabilitiesClients – External/InternalProactively manage relationship with assigned contacts in client organisations; be “the true partner”Develop and maintain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders in client organisation.Role model finalise candidate search criteria and collaborate regularly during recruitment process, providing feedback where appropriateDevelop and maintain excellent relationships with relevant key stakeholders in the client organisation and communicate clearly and frequently with Amplity leadershipBe the ‘voice of the field-based teams’ within Amplity to ensure resources are aligned to the support their needsConduct second stage interviews, co-ordinate client ‘Meet and Greet’ calls or meetingsWork in collaboration with Project Managers to plan and implement assessment centres, ensuring full attendance and make final candidate selectionsWork in collaboration with HR and project management to facilitate induction and onboarding for new starters in collaboration with relevant departmentsEnsure relevant objectives and plans are in place to successfully manage end of probation discussionsTranslate programme/project requirements into operational task and Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) for successful execution of contracted deliverablesSet expectations with team around performance, providing clear goals and direction and managing/removing any barriers to success, clarify appropriate communication routesAssist in the management of any employee relations and contractual issues or concerns related to employee terms and conditions in conjunction with People Knowledge and ExperienceMinimum BSc (or equivalent) in a life science or healthcare discipline with5 years of clinical experience and KOL/Investigator engagement in the pharmaceutical/CRO or biotechnology industry.Master’s Degree, PhD, pharmacy degree or nursing qualification is preferred scientific expertise in the relevant therapeutic areaMandatory experience in Rare Diseases and/or Neuromuscular Diseases.Experience working within Neurology is strongly preferred.Has medical knowledge and is skilled at scientific discussionsProven success of relationship building with HCPs / SCs / KOLsKnowledge of clinical research in various the appropriate region including optimization of enrolment strategiesPossess strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational
