Position Overview
The Team Lead is tasked with performing the daily operational practices of running the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizing shift schedules for team members
- Monitoring attendance, tardiness, and time off
- Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills
- Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
- Managing employees’ requests and transgressions
- Training new and current team members on tasks
- Handling customer issues and managing conflicts
- Adhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standards
- Balancing cash drawers and preparing cash deposits
- Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services, take and process wash payments to the satisfaction of customers and car wash
- Perform cleaning of facility and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, and grease gun)
- Provide assistance to customers in any area concerning car wash process
- Move or direct cars into the express wash tunnel with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude
- Point to directional sign; neutral, no‑brake, no steering while watching the customer to ensure directions are followed
- Smiles at customer and does thumbs up after guest is in neutral with no brakes
- Carry out visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area
- Ensure company policies and safety procedures are adhered to in carrying out given tasks daily
- Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung
- With a sense of urgency, ensure the right thing is done at the right time with customers, home office, and fellow teammates
