In this position, you'll have some income stability and the ability to focus on learning and development while serving clients with mentorship through joint field work.Mountain Financial Group is an independent financial services practice of Thrivent in Irvine, CA. We are growing and adding a team-based financial advisor to our team. At Mountain Financial Group, we provide personalized financial guidance to people at all stages of life. This is a full time role that will be in office 2-3 days per week.Over your first 8 to 13 weeks, you'll study for and obtain necessary licenses (varies by individual situation), which may include:Resident state Life, Health and AnnuitySecurities Industry Essentials (SIE)Series 6 and 63, 7 and 66, or 7, 63 and 65.After completing licensing, you may enroll in a comprehensive 6-week training program.After licensing and training, you'll start building your book of business with the ultimate goal of joining the sponsoring team in the traditional financial advisor role. Typical activities include:Learn and understand the entire operation of practiceParticipate in Joint Fieldwork to build expertise and learn best-practices within the industryMeet with new and existing clients to build a book of business and grow relationshipsSolicit and sell appropriate products, complete applications, write recommendations, and service existing clients/contractsPosition products, services, and strategies to help clients gain financial clarityBuild proficiency in common advice tools and platforms like Salesforce, Money Guide Pro, What-If Tax, etc.Participate in events to attract new clients and provide financial education to the local communityResearch and respond to client inquiriesCollaborate with Lead Advisor on complex scenariosSchedule, prep, and document all your client meetingsOther responsibilities as assigned by the Lead AdvisorOur culture and our people are special. Whether you're a seasoned financial professional or looking for a career change, you could be a successful Thrivent Financial advisor if you're:Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential informationRequirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Military veterans are encouraged to apply.Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting and securities registration and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable.Compensation is $70,000 - $90,000 (combination base revenue package plus upside potential through commission).
