PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT
The successful new hire or rehired candidate will be responsible to complete and incur the fingerprinting and processing fee of $57.50 through an appropriate fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY Partner with the Cabinet and executive leadership across the district to shape and lead the vision for adult learning experiences that empower and develop teachers, administrators, instructional leaders, and classified staff. Ensure these experiences align with the District Strategic Plan; fostering meaningful growth in knowledge, skills, and behaviors that enhance employee effectiveness. Lead a team of innovative, learner-centered, and data-driven professionals who empower employees through professional learning to discover and achieve their full potential.

- Support a coherent professional learning program that connects and aligns to the District Strategic Plan initiatives and priorities.
- Consult and collaborate with Cabinet members, executive leadership and departments to develop and implement high-quality professional learning experiences for central and classified staff aligned to work-streams.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize qualitative and quantitative data to assess the impact of professional learning programs and drive continuous improvement. Actively seek and use diverse perspectives in decision‑making.
- Apply and model adult learning principles to ensure high quality professional learning experiences for all stakeholders.
- Build the capacity of the Professional Learning Team, through professional learning, supervision, evaluation, coaching, observation and feedback to impact student achievement.
- Ensure that all educators have equitable access to high‑quality professional learning opportunities that meet diverse learning needs.
- Incorporate digital tools, learning management systems, and virtual training opportunities to expand access to professional development.
- Ensure professional learning offerings align with state and district requirements for licensure renewal, certifications, and endorsements.
- Manage financial and material resources to support professional learning initiatives efficiently and effectively.
- Develop clear communication strategies to keep educators, administrators, and district leaders informed about professional learning opportunities and expectations.
- Stay current on research‑based best practices in adult learning and instructional improvement, integrating innovative strategies into professional development programming.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE 3 years of teaching experience; 3 years as principal or other qualified leadership experience that requires principal licensure. Demonstrate effective coaching of adult learners in leadership skills related to instruction, culture, change management, supervision and leadership awareness; demonstrated ability to consult with and facilitate groups; ability to be a change leader; and successful completion of Cognitive Coaching foundations workshop preferred.
EDUCATION & TRAINING Bachelor's degree required. Preferred field of study in education, leadership, organizational management, or similar field. Master's degree preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Understands best practices in adult learning, professional development, and instructional coaching. Knowledge of effective instructional strategies, use of curriculum, and assessment practices. Understanding of leadership frameworks, coaching methodologies, and succession planning for educators and administrators. Knowledge of financial planning, grant funding, and cost‑effective strategies for professional learning initiatives. Expertise in various learning models for adults such as workshops, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), coaching, and blended learning. Knowledge of data collection methods, impact analysis, and continuous improvement strategies. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), online training platforms, and digital tools that enhance professional development. Skilled in collaborating and consulting with key stakeholders on cross district initiatives involving diverse groups. Strong written and verbal communication skills for delivering presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates. Ability to design, coordinate, and execute professional learning initiatives aligned with district goals. Facilitate learning and conduct meetings to large and small groups. Strong ability to lead and work with cross‑functional teams. Collaborate with employee associations to best meet adult learning needs in the system. Ability to manage multiple initiatives, set priorities, and meet deadlines effectively. Ability to create a learning culture that encourages reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional growth. Ability to be flexible and responsive to evolving instructional trends, policies, and district priorities. Commitment to ensuring all educators have access to high‑quality, inclusive professional learning experiences. Ability to collect and analyze data in various formats to inform and update stakeholders.
SPAN OF CONTROL Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position is responsible for both budget development and accountability.
