Teacher's Aide

We are seeking a highly qualified, dedicated, and energetic Teacher's Aide to join our team. Core responsibilities:

  • Targeted Title I interventions: Under the direct supervision of a certified lead teacher, deliver explicit, research-based small-group and 1-on-1 instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Classroom & behavior management: Implement and uphold BridgePrep's behavior management system with fidelity to cultivate a safe, orderly, and enthusiastic learning environment.
  • Data & record keeping: Help maintain accurate student data, track progress toward individual goals, assist with Title I compliance documentation, and update administrative records.
  • Material preparation: Partner with lead teachers to prepare data-driven instructional materials, intervention resources, and vibrant classroom displays.
  • Strong communication & compliance: Build trust-based relationships with families, keep teachers informed of individual student needs, and maintain absolute student confidentiality under FERPA guidelines.

Key qualifications:

  • Preferred (ESSA Title I Compliance): Candidates must meet one of the following educational criteria to satisfy state and federal Title I requirements:
    • Hold an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited institution; OR
    • Have successfully completed at least 60 semester hours (2 years of study) at an accredited college or university; OR
    • Possess a passing score (464 or higher) on the official ETS ParaPro Assessment.
  • Additional requirements:
    • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED (paired with the college credits/ParaPro test above).
    • Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to adjust and adapt to a fast-paced school environment.
    • Compliance: Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
  • Preferred:
    • Prior experience implementing targeted reading interventions geared toward the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST).
    • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish).
