Teacher Aide – Preschool

Location: Onsite, Multiple locations in Stamford, CT

Job Type: Full-time; 35–40 hours weekly depending on location (schedules are typically early mornings to mid-afternoons).

Length of Work Year: 51 weeks

Salary Range: $17.50/hour (rates are based on education and total college credits specific to Early Childhood Education, as per union contract)

About You

About the Role
  • Assist with the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Supervise and engage young children.
  • Support daily classroom routines and transitions.
  • Help maintain a safe, healthy, and clean learning environment.
  • Partner and communicate with families.
  • Observe and document children's interests and progress.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and administrators.
Qualifications
Required Credentials
  • At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work towards a CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
  • Strong desire to work with young children and their families.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development in early childhood, such as internal CLC training and OEC courses.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Levels of experience will be a key factor in candidate selection.
  • Basic computer literacy.
