Occupational Therapist
Early On
Qualifications: 1. Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy 2. Meet the requirements as specified in the Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education as of April 2009 3. A Certification of Clinical Competence through ASHA is preferred
Reports To: Director of Special Services and Building Principal
Responsibilities: 1. Provide Early Intervention services through a Primary Service Provider Model. 2. Support and strengthen caregiver confidence and competency in child learning and development through coaching by building confidence and competency to effectively implement interventions to support child development. 3. Prepare and facilitate Individual Educational Planning Committee (IEP) Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) Meetings. 4. Prepare and monitor individual goals, objectives and family outcomes. 5. Maintain on-going parent contact. 6. Prepare schedules for service to families 7. Prepare reports and maintain detailed records for each student. 8. Perform intensive evaluations of children in all areas of suspected delay/disability. 9. Consult with teachers, administrators, colleagues and outside agencies. 10. Function as a team member. 11. Participate in child study and team meetings as required. 12. Serve as consultant to administration as needed. 13. Attend special education staff meetings. 14. Coordinate family services 15. Provide therapeutic support to families and address identified needs. 16. Align instructional support with best practices and compliance with laws. 17. Perform other duties as directed by principal and/or Director of Special Education
