Job Duties:
This position reports to the McConell unit daily, with potential to assist and or provide coverage at other units, based on need. Daytoday functions include providing reentry case managementconducting a comprehensive assessment of risk and needs; building a reentry plans tailored to the individual inmate¿s goals and circumstances; coordinating services such as ordering replacement social security cards, certified birth records, state of Texas identification cards and connecting individuals to public benefits as appropriate, release planning, and securing employment.
The Reentry Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining records for inmates, documenting services and preparing summary reports. Responsibilities also include coordinating release by working with families and division support staff, reviewing and signing parole certificates with the population, securing electronic monitors, providing bus tickets and essential identification documents, and ensuring release funds, medications and appropriate clothing are provided. This position is essential; work schedules are tailored to division needs.
Successful candidates must become EndUser certified in the Texas Risk Assessment System (TRAS) to be completed during a weeklong offsite training course in Austin or Huntsville within the first 60days of employment.

You have experience in case management, rehabilitation, reentry, workforce development, education, or correctional programming.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and can use a computer effectively for documentation, data management and communication.
You are someone who notices gaps, develops solutions, and follows those solutions through to completion.
You can build productive relationships with unit staff, program partners, employers, and community organizations.
You bring ideas to the table and are interested in helping program development, and meaningful reentry work.
You have 4years of work experience or a bachelor's degree
