Tax Supervisor/Manager

Company Description: We are a growing CPA firm in Florence, Kentucky looking for an experienced Tax Supervisor/Manager who wants meaningful tax work, client responsibility, and an unusually flexible schedule.

This may be an especially good fit for someone who enjoys public accounting but no longer wants the traditional public-accounting lifestyle.

I am open to part-time, full-time, seasonal-heavy, or a customized annual schedule for the right person. I am looking for someone experienced, dependable and independent and together, we will create a custom schedule that works right for you.

Role Description: I'm looking for someone who can own their work and clients from beginning to end.

That means independently managing deadlines, identifying missing information, communicating with clients, researching issues when necessary, completing the work, and closing the loop—without needing someone else to maintain your task list or continually follow up.

Significant Form 990 experience is highly desirable and will command compensation toward the top of the range.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Individual and business tax returns
• Form 990 and nonprofit taxation
• Tax planning and research
• Reviewing returns and identifying issues
• Managing client relationships
• Independently managing workflow and deadlines
• Several years of progressive experience in public accounting, with supervisory or manager-level responsibilities in tax engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site in Florence, KY, collaborate with a small team, and maintain client confidentiality.

CPA or EA is preferred, although demonstrated experience, judgment and independence matter more to me than credentials alone.

Experience with UltraTax and/or Drake is helpful but not required.
