Senior Tax Accountant / Tax ManagerOur client is a rapidly growing wealth advisory firm expanding its Tax service to meet significant client demand. They are seeking either a Senior Tax Accountant or Tax Manager to help support expanding client base and play a key role in building a modern tax practice that integrates tax, asset management, and estate planning services.This is an opportunity to join a wealth management firm where the role can be shaped around your strengths and where long-term leadership or partnership opportunities exist.Responsibilities:Prepare and review a variety of tax returnsManage tax compliance and filing deadlines for an expanding client baseAssist with the transition and management of tax clients from acquired practicesProvide tax planning and advisory support to clients alongside the firm's financial advisory teamIdentify opportunities to improve tax strategies and client outcomesParticipate in client meetings and advisory discussions when appropriateCollaborate with leadership to build scalable processes as the tax practice growsRole Flexibility:This role can be tailored based on your strengths and career goals. Examples include:Technical TrackFocus primarily on tax preparation and technical tax workLimited client interactionClient Advisory TrackParticipate in client meetingsProvide tax insights during financial planning discussionsReduce preparation workload while increasing advisory involvementQualifications:Senior Tax Accountant2–4+ years of tax preparation experienceExperience preparing 1040 and/or business returnsEA or CPA preferred (CPA candidate acceptable)Tax Manager5+ years of public accounting tax experienceExperience reviewing complex returns and managing client relationshipsCPA requiredAdditional required experience:Public accounting backgroundStrong knowledge of federal and state tax complianceAbility to work independently while collaborating with a growing teamCompensation:Senior Tax Accountant: $75,000 – $95,000Tax Manager: $125,000 – $160,000Additional compensation and incentives may include:Performance bonusesLong-term leadership opportunitiesPotential partnership track for the right candidateWork Environment:Hybrid work modelRemote work available initiallyLong-term expectation for some in-office presence in the Omaha metro area for client meetings and collaborationTypical workload expectations:40–45 hours per week outside tax seasonPeak weeks up to ~50-55 hours, significantly lighter than many public accounting environments
