Position Profile

Weaver seeks a Senior Manager level Tax Leader to provide tax planning and compliance services for a broad client base, including private‑equity‑backed companies, large businesses, and high‑net‑worth individuals. The role requires close collaboration with firm leadership, business development, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • lead federal tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements for a diverse set of clients
  • sell and execute engagements in multiple industries, applying technical knowledge
  • manage, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals
  • build and maintain client relationships and expand services to existing clients
  • drive business development and support firm leadership in strategic initiatives

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 7+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience, or a combination
  • Strong technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in multiple industries
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team
  • Excellent relationship‑management and practice‑development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range is approximately $141,000 to $290,000 (California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York Metropolitan areas) with adjustments based on experience, skills, certifications, and geography. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
