Position Profile
Weaver seeks a Senior Manager level Tax Leader to provide tax planning and compliance services for a broad client base, including private‑equity‑backed companies, large businesses, and high‑net‑worth individuals. The role requires close collaboration with firm leadership, business development, and team development.
Responsibilities
- lead federal tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements for a diverse set of clients
- sell and execute engagements in multiple industries, applying technical knowledge
- manage, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals
- build and maintain client relationships and expand services to existing clients
- drive business development and support firm leadership in strategic initiatives
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 7+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience, or a combination
- Strong technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in multiple industries
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team
- Excellent relationship‑management and practice‑development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation range is approximately $141,000 to $290,000 (California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York Metropolitan areas) with adjustments based on experience, skills, certifications, and geography. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
