Position Summary
Lead strategic tax planning initiatives and manage the execution of tax risk management, including tax controversies at federal, state and municipal levels across Bridgestone Brasil. Support and assess uncertainties, and provide guidance on documentation requirements, including those required as support for the accounting of the related uncertainties. Lead development, maintenance, and use of the risk assessment framework in Brasil.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize tax burden, effective tax rate and cash tax position across Bridgestone Brasil
- Responsible for the strategic and advisory analysis of all taxes applied in Brazil (IRPJ/CSLL, ICMS, ISS, PIS/COFINS, ISS, withholding taxes, CIDE) as well the new taxes introduced by tax reform (CBS, IBS and IS)
- Coordinate and interact with tax authorities to obtain special regimes
- Manage tax audits, inquiries, and disputes with tax authorities at federal, state and municipal levels as well as review documentation and responses to tax authorities
- Identify and mitigate tax risks through proactive planning and documentation
- Advise relevant business initiatives related tax planning and or process risks and effectively communicates them, with potential mitigating actions to leadership
- Monitor legislative changes, assess their impact on the business and communicate to the areas involved
- Align objectives and partner with Legal, Accounting, BBS, IT, Treasury, and all other Tax COEs
- Attract, develop, and retain a strong team to meet current needs and ensure effective succession planning to meet future needs
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and development opportunities to teammates to strengthen their technical and professional skills
- Seek individual professional development opportunities and strive to achieve the highest degree of competency
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (preferable)
- English Advanced
- SAP, OIDT, TAX ONE, ONESOURCE
- Office packages: Word, Excel, Power Point
