A CPA and experience in a tax role at a public accounting firm required.ResponsibilitiesManage Tax EngagementsManage and review tax engagements for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.Oversee compliance deliverables—returns, extensions, and estimated payments—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with firm quality standards.Review estimated tax calculations, projections, and income tax provisions (ASC 740).Provide strategic tax planning and consultation on entity structure, compensation, and cash flow.Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.Coach, Mentor, and ReviewSupervise and review the work of associates and senior associates.Provide clear feedback, guidance, and encouragement to build technical competence and professional judgment.Foster a supportive learning environment rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Client Service and Relationship BuildingServe as a primary client contact throughout engagements.Develop an understanding of each client's operations, systems, and objectives.Deliver clear, relevant, and actionable insights that demonstrate value beyond the deliverable.Professional Growth and Firm ContributionStay current on Federal and State tax laws.Lead and develop firm trainings, department process development, and service innovation initiatives.Collaborate with leadership to enhance engagement efficiency and client experience.CompetenciesTechnical requirements:Strong technical foundation across partnership, S-corp, C-corp, and high-net-worth individual taxation.Experience with estimated payments, multi-state filings, and tax provisions.Strong project management skillsProficiency with CCH Axcess Tax, Workflow and Microsoft Office.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree required.Licensure: Active Texas CPA license required.Experience: 5–7 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, including staff supervision.
