We take pride in maintaining a fun, flexible, and team-oriented workplace that values both professional excellence and personal well-being.As a Tax/Senior Manager, you will play a key leadership role in managing client relationships, overseeing complex tax engagements, and mentoring staff — all while helping shape the continued growth and success of our firm.This position is a hybrid position located in Syracuse, NY.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a front-line client advisor, developing strong, lasting relationships with clients and ensuring the highest quality in service delivery and compliance.Lead complex tax planning and strategy engagements, offering innovative and practical solutions to minimize tax liabilities and achieve client goals.Review and evaluate tax research, methodology, and conclusions to ensure accuracy and quality.Represent clients during IRS audits, administrative hearings, and other regulatory interactions.Collaborate with Partners on practice development, management, and strategic initiatives to support firm growth.Represent the firm within professional and community organizations, strengthening our presence and reputation.Oversee Tax Department scheduling and workload management to ensure efficient operations.Mentor and develop Tax Staff, In-Charges, and Supervisors, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and professional advancement.QualificationsMinimum 6 years of progressive tax experience, 7 years or more for Senior Tax Manager, preferably in a public accounting firm.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation preferred).Active CPA license required.Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service and professional integrity.Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, strategic mindset.We are proud to be one of Central New York's leading certified public accounting firms, serving clients locally and nationwide for over 40 years.
