A premier and highly exclusive multifamily office firm in Santa Monica is looking for a Tax Manager to join its close-knit team. The firm provides top-tier family office services to pioneering figures in the entertainment industry.
This opportunity combines high-level client exposure with limited overtime outside the final month of tax season, a mandatory four-day in-office schedule, and an above-market compensation and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in public accounting or business management, an active CPA license, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional tax services within an elite team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex individual, trust, and entity tax returns for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Provide strategic tax planning and compliance services within a multifamily office environment.
- Coordinate with business managers, attorneys, and financial advisors on client matters.
- Train and supervise staff; review work and provide mentorship and professional development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and proactively advise clients accordingly.
- Collaborate directly with firm leadership on high-value client accounts.
- Ensure exceptional client service while maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion.
Requirements:
- CPA license required.
- Minimum 5 years and up to 10 years of experience in public accounting or business management.
- Proven expertise in tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals and entities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience in a client-facing role, ideally within a family office or similar high-touch environment.
- Ability to thrive in a highly professional, team-oriented culture.
- Willingness to work in the Santa Monica office four days per week.
Compensation:
- $135,000 to $180,000 based on experience.
