Remote Full Time Finance

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, preparation, and review of individual and business tax returns.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategic financial decisions.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service.
  • Review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff while providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Manage workflow, project deadlines, and client deliverables during busy tax seasons.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on client service initiatives and business growth.
  • Identify planning opportunities that create value for clients while minimizing tax exposure.
  • Support continuous process improvements and contribute to the firm's long-term success.

Qualifications

  • CPA license in active standing
  • 7–10+ years of public accounting experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax returns
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and planning strategies
  • Experience reviewing the work of other tax professionals
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Leadership experience mentoring, coaching, and developing staff
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Lacerte, ProSystem fx Engagement, QuickBooks, and Practice CS is highly preferred
