Remote Full Time Finance

Adaptive Solutions Group is partnering with a well-established organization in KC to identify a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join a collaborative corporate tax team. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in tax provision, compliance, and financial reporting while working alongside experienced tax leaders in a supportive environment. Compensation: $116k- $175k (based on experience)

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions
  • Support GAAP tax accounting and financial reporting
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax and insurance-related tax returns
  • Conduct tax research and analyze the impact of new tax laws and regulations
  • Assist with year-end reporting and external tax audits
  • Partner with finance and other departments on tax-related matters
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and operational efficiencies
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives
  • Support the department's long-term succession planning and knowledge transfer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field
  • Approximately 7+ years of corporate tax or public accounting experience
  • CPA, JD, Enrolled Agent, MBA, or similar professional credential preferred
  • Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and tax accounting principles
  • Experience with tax provision preparation and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Insurance industry taxation
  • GAAP tax accounting
  • Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT)
  • Corporate tax compliance
  • Tax research
