What You'll Do as the Tax Manager:
- Manage tax compliance processes for diverse clientele
- Craft and review various tax returns at federal and state levels
- Develop tax strategies, forecasts, and solutions
- Coordinate client communications and deliverables
- Ensure punctual and precise tax filings across jurisdictions
- Uphold quality benchmarks for all tax-related projects
- Contribute to specialized tax initiatives
- Foster collaboration among team members, clients, and leadership
- Support broader organizational objectives as needed
Must-Haves as the Tax Manager:
- Accounting degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 7 years' experience in public accounting
- Professional certification (CPA, MsT, or EA) or actively pursuing
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Expertise in tax preparation software and accounting systems
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to work across all levels
- Adaptability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
Nice-To-Haves as the Tax Manager:
- Advanced degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with UltraTax software
- Specialization in specific tax areas (e.g., international tax, estate planning)
- Leadership or mentoring experience
