Remote Full Time Accounting

A genuine route to Shareholder. And a firm that can actually show you how people get there.

Most CPA firms talk about succession planning.

This one has a rather good reason to take it seriously.

2 Partners are planning to transition significant client portfolios over the next 5 years, with another 2 expected to follow.

And here's the interesting bit.

Every Shareholder at this firm has worked their way up internally.

They've never needed to bring someone in from outside at that level.

So when they talk about developing future leaders, there's a bit more substance behind it than the usual promises.

I'm working with a 25 person, predominantly tax focused CPA firm in Tampa. They've got a loyal client base, very little staff turnover and Partners who genuinely make time for their people.

Not just an open door policy written on the company website. The sort where you can actually walk into a Partner's office and ask for help.

What about the flexibility?

It's a hybrid position, although they want someone predominantly in the office during their first year while they get to know the team and clients.

Once established, there's flexibility to work from home 2 or 3 days a week.

They're also sensible about life outside work. Need to start earlier or finish later to accommodate family commitments? They're happy to have that conversation.

And the work itself?

You'll work with a mixture of closely held businesses and individuals, with approximately 60% entity work and 40% individual tax.

Plenty of S Corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates, with business clients typically generating up to $5m in revenue.

You'll have a mixture of preparation and review work, alongside client relationships and mentoring junior colleagues.

And because it's a smaller firm, you'll work directly with the Partners rather than spending years waiting to be noticed.

Who would this suit?

An experienced Tax Manager with a CPA, strong public accounting experience and the confidence to review returns, guide staff and build relationships with clients.

Someone who enjoys the technical side of tax but also wants to have more influence over the direction of their career.

Perhaps you're perfectly happy where you are.

But if you've ever wondered whether there's actually going to be a seat at the table when the current Partners eventually step aside, this is probably worth a conversation.

Because at this firm, they can point to exactly where those opportunities are coming from.

Here’s the part most people get wrong: you don’t need to tick every box to introduce yourself. The apply button is not legally binding. Worst case? We chat, decide the timing isn’t right, and you carry on. Best case? You bag yourself a fantastic new position.
