Position Overview

A leading regional public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of tax clients across multiple industries.

This is a senior tax leadership opportunity for a CPA with strong public accounting experience who can review complex tax returns, provide strategic tax planning and consulting, manage client relationships, and mentor tax professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong Healthcare client experience , with additional experience in Manufacturing & Distribution (M&D) preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of tax clients across multiple industries.
• Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for:
  • Corporations
  • Partnerships
  • S-Corporations
  • Trusts
  • Individuals
• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to business owners and high-net-worth clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor, coach, and review the work of tax staff, seniors, and managers.
• Assist with staff development, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve client operations through proactive tax strategies.
• Research and resolve complex tax issues.
• Manage engagement workflow, deadlines, and client deliverables.
• Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting — required.
• Active CPA license — required.
• 6+ years of recent public accounting tax experience — required.
• Experience reviewing complex tax returns.
• Experience supervising and developing tax professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client relationship and engagement-management skills.
• Familiarity with modern tax preparation and workflow software.
• Stable work history — required.
