TSS serves clients in the automotive retail, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and other for-profit industries. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial CPA with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing flow-through tax returns and coordinating directly with client support staff. Our position provides a unique opportunity for significant growth within our firm, working directly with business owners and their financial professionals.ResponsibilitiesAssist in ongoing tax planning and coordination of client engagements.Conduct detailed and technical review of complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns with an emphasis on flow-through entitiesCommunicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise and ensure deadlines are metResearch tax law updatesResearch complex tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulationsAssist in team technical skill developmentContinue to foster client relationships and serve as trusted advisor to client's business office staff by delivering superior services and timely responsesRequirements5+ years with a medium-sized public accounting firm preparing and reviewing flow-through income tax returnsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldProficient in project management including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and researchStrong attention to detailIntegrity within a professional environmentPreferencesExperience with CCH Axcess tax, CCH Pfx EngagementEA or CPA certificationLocationAt TSS, we've designed a flexible work structure that enables both teamwork and independence, enhancing our employees' work experience while promoting personal well-being.
