Hybrid Schedule - 2 Days in Office
This is a hybrid Tax Manager opportunity based in Houston, with 2 days per week in the office and the remainder remote. You'll have the flexibility to work independently while still collaborating with a strong local team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates, and privately held businesses.
- Lead tax planning and compliance engagements for a diverse client base.
- Serve as a key client contact and provide proactive tax advisory support.
- Manage engagement workflow, budgets, deadlines, and client expectations.
- Supervise and mentor Tax Seniors, Supervisors, and Associates.
- Review workpapers, returns, and supporting documentation for technical accuracy.
- Research federal and state tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Identify planning opportunities for businesses, owners, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Collaborate with partners on complex engagements, client service, and firm growth initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Experience managing engagements and reviewing complex tax returns.
- CPA or EA strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of tax compliance and planning for individuals and businesses.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality client service.
Preferred Credentials:
- Master's in Tax preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with UltraTax, CCH, RIA Checkpoint, QuickBooks, MS Excel, Word, and practice management software preferred.
