Position Responsibilities

  • Aprio’s tax professionals are committed to exceptional client service and developing and implementing intelligent strategies that reduce our clients' tax bills.
  • Responsible for managing and leading a team of tax professionals, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and overseeing the work of your team members.
  • Developing and implementing tax strategies, staying up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations, and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
  • Providing consulting services to clients on various tax-related issues such as mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring.
  • Conducting tax research to stay current with changing tax laws and regulations and identify opportunities for tax planning.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders, including tax authorities and other regulatory bodies, to ensure all tax-related matters are handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction with the services provided by your team.
  • Training and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Master’s degree in Taxation (preferred)
  • Recent experience working in a public accounting firm
  • 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in S-Corp, Partnership returns, Individual and Corporate taxes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software, technology and CCH Axcess (preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of Partnership and S-Corp tax returns required, including Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) compliance
  • Experience managing a team
  • Willing to work 3 days in office

Salary

$98,500 - $175,000 per year

The salary range is stated above. An actual salary may be closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances may fall outside of the listed salary range.
