Experience with CCH Engagement/CCH tax software is also preferred.
Were especially interested in Tax Managers who have worked directly with clients and enjoy coordinating with estate attorneys, investment professionals, wealth advisors, and other specialists to solve complex problems.
Why Leave Public Accounting for This?
Because you can still do sophisticated tax work without having your entire career revolve around the next filing deadline.
Here, tax is one piece of a much bigger picture.
Youll have the opportunity to understand a family's business interests, investments, trusts, estate plan, philanthropy, cash flow, and long-term goals and then help determine how tax strategy fits into all of it.
Instead of asking:
Is the return ready?
You'll increasingly be asking:
What should we be doing for this family before we ever get to the return?
That's the difference between tax compliance and tax advisory .
Compensation & Benefits
We know experienced tax professionals have options.
For the right experienced Tax Manager, the firm has flexibility to reach approximately $200K in total compensation .
If you're an exceptionally senior candidate with significant UHNW experience , there may be flexibility beyond that level.
The opportunity also includes:
- Competitive base salary + bonus
- Comprehensive benefits
- Established hybrid work schedule
- Direct HNW/UHNW client exposure
- Year-round tax planning and advisory
- Leadership and mentoring responsibilities
- Multidisciplinary family office experience

What Success Looks Like
Within your first several months, you'll begin taking ownership of sophisticated client relationships and tax engagements while becoming integrated into the broader family office team.
You'll be expected to deliver technically excellent work, but success here goes beyond technical ability.
You'll build relationships.
You'll develop junior professionals.
You'll identify opportunities before clients ask.
You'll collaborate with other advisors.
And you'll increasingly become someone clients trust when they're making important financial decisions.
Coming Out of Another 10/15 Deadline Thinking There Has to Be Something Different?
There is.
If you're an experienced Tax Manager who enjoys complex tax work but wants deeper client relationships, broader advisory exposure, leadership responsibility, and a seat at the table when important wealth decisions are being made , this could be the career move you've been looking for.
Youve already proven you can manage the tax work. Now take that experience somewhere you can help manage the bigger picture.
