Position Title:

Senior, Tax & Accounting - Hybrid

Location:

New York, NY

Salary Range:

$80,000 to $110,000

An independent, full‑service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Tax & Accounting to join their team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency. This is a ground floor opportunity to assist with the success of a growing entrepreneurial enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of current tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service.
  • Staying updated on industry developments and participating in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation required, CPA preferred.
  • 3‑5 years plus years of experience in a CPA firm or relevant experience.
  • Experience using CCH, Axcess preferred, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products preferred.
