Tax Manager - Manhattan, NY

You will lead corporate and partnership tax compliance engagements, evaluate complex reporting requirements, support consulting projects, and help develop staff while operating with significant autonomy.

Position Overview:

The Tax Manager will manage diverse tax engagements, oversee corporate and partnership compliance, evaluate complex U.S. reporting requirements, guide staff development, and collaborate closely with leadership to support a growing client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Federal tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, and disregarded entities.
  • Oversee state and local tax compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate U.S. tax treaty implications and reporting requirements including FATCA, foreign withholding, and foreign tax credits.
  • Operate with high autonomy while collaborating within a team-focused environment.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to support their technical and professional growth.
  • Conduct tax planning, research, and technical analysis.
  • Support client service delivery with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5–7 years of professional tax experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with practice leaders.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • People-oriented approach with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Excellent planning, research, writing, and communication skills.
