Gogerty & Associates PLC, a well-established tax and accounting firm located in Mason City, IA, provides tax, accounting, and business advisory services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. We are currently seeking a dedicated team player with 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead and oversee tax engagements for a diverse roster of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts and estates
• Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including high level tax planning, research, projections, compliance, and consulting
• Supervise and oversee tax staff
• Meet with clients and build new and existing client relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities
• CPA license or EA designation preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (UltraTax software proficiency is a plus)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff and develop strong client relationships
