Role: Tax Manager
Location: Melville, NY (or Midtown Manhattan)
Duration: Full-time/Permanent
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who has run their own book of accounts and is ready to take ownership of engagements from start to finish. You’ll work directly with business owners and high-net-worth individuals, serving as their primary point of contact on both compliance and planning across a diverse client base, including professional services firms, real estate, and businesses across a range of industries.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of public accounting experience in tax
- Proven track record managing client relationships and running accounts directly with clients
- Experience supervising and developing staff
- Deep technical knowledge across 1120, 1065, and 1040 returns, including complex individual and pass-through matters
- Hands-on experience with tax software (ideally UltraTax; ProSystems also used)
- Strong proficiency in Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license
- Real estate and/or professional services industry experience
- Experience with AI-powered tax research tools (e.g., CoCounsel)
