MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Tax Manager , you will:
- Oversee and manage tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and S-corporation tax returns prepared by staff and seniors
- Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying strategies to minimize tax liability and support long-term goals
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff and senior accountants by providing technical training, performance feedback, and career guidance
- Conduct and review technical research on complex tax issues, communicating findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
- Manage client relationships by serving as a primary point of contact, addressing concerns, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work
- Collaborate with firm leadership to identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development efforts
- Oversee engagement budgets, billing, and profitability while ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in tax, including supervisory responsibilities
- Active CPA license, required
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple client engagements and leading teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to clients and team members
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and tax preparation/research software
