Onsite Full Time Finance

This is a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs. This role partners closely with clients and internal teams to deliver proactive tax strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive high-quality client service. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment and is passionate about mentoring and developing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Lead tax planning and consulting engagements to support clients’ short- and long-term financial goals.
  • Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by proactively identifying tax-saving opportunities and addressing technical issues.
  • Manage IRS and state tax audits and collaborate with leadership to achieve successful resolution.
  • Review and monitor engagement budgets, billing, realization, and overall client profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Delegate work effectively and provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and support career development for associates, seniors, and interns.
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, networking events, and client relationship expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support strategic departmental and organizational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable professional standards, regulations, and ethical requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to Tax Associates, Senior Associates, Leads, and Interns.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and development efforts within the tax practice.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and client service excellence.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
  • Active CPA license or licensed attorney designation required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of public accounting or related tax experience.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and closely held businesses strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, tax research, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with tax and engagement software such as GoSystem, ProSystem fx Engagement, XCM, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and high-quality client service.
