TAX MANAGER

A fast-growing Northeast Ohio public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax and accounting engagements and help guide the firm's continued growth. This is a great fit for a motivated tax professional who wants genuine leadership responsibility, room to grow, and a flexible, team-oriented environment rather than a rigid corporate structure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee tax and accounting assignments, ensuring high-quality delivery
• Review and file individual and business tax returns with a strong focus on accuracy and detail
• Manage multiple concurrent client engagements
• Conduct tax research and provide practical solutions for clients and team members
• Lead and develop a growing team, mentoring and training staff on technical and career growth
• Deliver timely, high-quality client service that exceeds expectations
• Proactively identify and resolve client concerns and performance opportunities
• Build relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to support firm growth
• Stay current on tax legislation and share relevant insights with clients and the team
• Pursue ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional tax experience
• CPA or EA certification required
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Excellent team and project management skills
• Deep knowledge of tax legislation
