We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our client. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and industries. The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a book of business, conducting tax reviews, and handling various tax forms including 1120, 1065, and 1120S. The successful candidate will also be responsible for tax planning, federal and state tax, and tax returns. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Manage a book of business, ensuring all tax obligations and deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct tax reviews, identifying potential discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and file various tax forms, including 1120, 1065, and 1120S.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Handle federal and state tax matters, staying updated on the latest tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to tax management.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in tax management.
- Proficient in managing a book of business, conducting tax reviews, and preparing various tax forms including 1120, 1065, and 1120S.
- In-depth knowledge of tax planning, federal and state tax, and tax returns.
- Strong understanding of the latest tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support junior staff members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in the use of various accounting software and applications.
