Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Tax Manager for a top financial services client in the greater Elmira, NY area. This individual will take on a key leadership role overseeing complex tax preparation and review, leading tax planning initiatives, and identifying opportunities to deliver greater value to clients. The Tax Manager will also mentor developing tax professionals, research complex tax matters, collaborate closely with clients and advisors, and help drive process improvements across the department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to combine technical expertise, client service, and team leadership in a growing organization.

Day-to-Day:

• Review and prepare complex individual, partnership, trust, gift, and other tax returns
• Lead tax planning and quarterly projection activities
• Identify opportunities to maximize client tax planning strategies
• Serve as a departmental leader and drive process improvements
• Mentor and develop tax associates
• Research complex tax matters and provide guidance to clients, advisors, and staff
• Respond to federal, state, and local tax authority correspondence
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Partner with clients and advisors to deliver high-quality tax services
• Help drive overall team and departmental success

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Enrolled Agent (EA) required
• 7+ years of tax experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax software applications
• Experience handling individual, partnership, trust, gift, and other complex tax returns
• Strong tax research and planning capabilities
