Qualifications
- BS/BA in accounting preferred; CPA a plus; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting and tax experience in public accounting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Aptitude for meeting deadlines and effectively managing workload under pressure.
- Proficiency with MS Office, tax compliance and research software, fixed assets, QuickBooks, and trial balance systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with, train, mentor, and supervise staff accountants and interns.
- Review designated work for accuracy and completeness.
- Operate independently and self‑manage multiple projects, be adaptable to frequent changes in the professional environment.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
- Handle the majority of designated client engagements, both accounting and tax.
- Prepare and review accounting and tax engagements.
- Maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty while meeting deadlines.
- Research tax and accounting issues and draft memorandums.
- Be aware of opportunities to expand engagements.
- Draft bills promptly.
- Accountable to the Firm’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
- Develop team members' technical and professional skills.
- Provide regular performance feedback and evaluations.
- Delegate assignments and focus on appropriate level work.
- Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, independent thinking, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Contribute to development of new or improved accounting and/or tax processes and procedures.
