Whitecap Search is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting firm. This role involves serving a diverse client base that includes high‑net‑worth individuals, privately held businesses, and closely held entities. The successful candidate will manage tax engagements from planning through completion, prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review high-net-worth individual and small to medium‑size business tax returns.
- Possess knowledge in gift, estate, and tax‑exempt entities, which is advantageous.
- Manage client relationships comprehensively and professionally.
- Prepare detailed financial statements.
- Auditing experience is a plus.
- Oversee client communication and supervise firm staff.
- Perform offsite work at client locations.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a mid‑size to large firm handling high‑net‑worth tax.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel to clients.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Accounting/Tax Software, and MS Office products.
- Proficiency in UltraTax is a plus.
- A Master’s degree in accounting or taxation is a strong advantage.
