Digital Assets Tax ManagerThe Digital Assets Tax Manager assists in providing tax compliance & consulting services to the following clients: Lab companies doing protocol launches NFT creators, stablecoins, infrastructure companies that do mining and staking, exchanges, fintech companies, and corporations engaging with crypto/blockchain solutions. In this role, the Digital Assets Tax Manager is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues and recognizing and communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy. In addition, the Digital Assets Tax Manager is involved in the marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise and specialization and may be asked to provide written tax advice to clients.Job Duties:Tax ComplianceResearchTax ConsultingTax SpecializationOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervises Associates and Senior Associates on all projectsReviews work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates and provide review commentsTrains Associates and Seniors how to use all current software toolsActs as a Career Advisor to Associates and Senior AssociatesSchedules and manages workload of Associates and Senior AssociatesProvides verbal and written performance feedback to Associates and Senior AssociatesQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:Bachelor's Degree, required; focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, preferredMaster's Degree in Accounting or Taxation, preferredExperience:Five (5) or more years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience, requiredPrior supervisory experience, requiredBlockchain and Cryptocurrency industry experience supporting lab companies, NFT creators, stablecoins, infrastructure companies that do mining and staking, exchanges, fintech companies, and corporations engaging with crypto/blockchain solutions, preferredLicense/Certifications:CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S.

jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent ("EA") (or the equivalent of one of these designations), requiredPossession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role, preferredSoftware:Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat, preferredExperience with tax research databases, preferredProficient in tax compliance process software, preferredOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Superior verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively delegate work as neededStrong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skillsCapacity to work well in a team environmentCapable of developing and managing a team of tax professionalsAbility to compose written tax adviceCapable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationshipsExecutive presence and ability to act as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions to clientsIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.California Range: $112,000 - $165,000 Massachusetts Range: $115,000 - $140,000 Virginia Range: $100,000 - $140,000
