Job TitleBe the First to ApplyJob DescriptionEssential Functions and Primary DutiesReview federal and state corporate returns; Review high level federal and state partnership returns.Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work.Perform evaluations on lower level staff.Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff.Make suggestions to help improve efficiencies, within department and on engagements.Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate interest and knowledge of client's businessPerform research and draft memoranda on corporate tax issues.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related fieldBachelor's degree with a preference of study in Accounting or related field5+ years' of relevant work and industry experiencePrior experience managing engagements and clientsAbility to work independently, but also work well with othersEnrolled Agent designationStrong technical and broad based advisory and client management skillsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree5 years of experience in public accounting or related field3 years supervisory experienceMust have active CPA or equivalent certificationAbility to manage all aspects of client engagementsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsProficient use of applicable technologyAbout UsCBIZ, Inc.
