We're committed to building lasting partnerships with our clients and serving as a trusted advisor in both compliance and long-term planning.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesRegarded as a Subject Matter Expert within business unit and shares knowledgeMake recommendations on internal department proceduresRecognize business opportunities for our clients and for CBIZAssume significant client responsibility as client's trusted advisor, is relied upon for knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and teamManage staff on engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, tax returns, work papers, etc.); complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are metResponsible for new client development in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentation and proposal development and meet individual cross serve goalsResponsible for billing and realization on assigned clients; develop overall engagement budget, explain variances and understand client's Qualified Plan needs as applicable)Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectivelyWork to develop responsible, trained staff by conducting performance feedback and evaluationsDrive a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and builds a positive cultureAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred QualificationsAbility to work in the office and/or client location a minimum of 3 days per weekMinimum Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree5 years of experience in public accounting or related field3 years supervisory experienceMust have active CPA or equivalent certificationAbility to manage all aspects of client engagementsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsProficient use of applicable technologyAbout UsCBIZ, Inc.
