We're looking for a Tax Manager with 5+ years of public accounting experience and a licensed CPA to join our team in a flexible work model.
Overview
As a strategic and creative tax professional, you'll provide tax compliance and consulting services to entrepreneurial clients and high-net-worth individuals, helping FMD drive growth through client-focused work and high-level service.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and adjust small business clients’ financials.
- Prepare partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns.
- Review returns prepared by other team members and provide feedback.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure high-quality client service.
- Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
- Communicate with clients, demonstrating excellent verbal and non-verbal skills.
- Maintain highest ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Manage client expectations and assist with tax-related questions.
- Research tax questions and monitor updates.
Qualifications
- Licensed CPA.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax.
- 5+ years of accounting and business tax preparation experience (ideal).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects.
- Detail-oriented with efficient multitasking.
