Onsite Full Time Finance

Our client is an established, full-service CPA firm in the Greenville Metro area that is expanding its tax practice to keep pace with growing demand across the Upstate. This position has been added to support that growth. It is a chance to step into a firm where your career can be shaped by the momentum the firm is building.

The role is client-facing and planning-oriented. You will own relationships, advise clients directly, and have real influence over how the tax group develops as the firm grows.

What You Will Do

  • Review federal, state, and local returns prepared by staff and seniors, including S corporations, partnerships, individuals, and fiduciary returns
  • Prepare complex returns as needed
  • Lead tax planning conversations with clients, including entity structure, timing, and year-end strategy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned client base
  • Oversee responses to federal, state, and local tax notices and resolve them with the taxing authorities
  • Research and resolve complex technical issues, and document positions taken
  • Develop staff and seniors through review notes, coaching, and day-to-day guidance
  • Support the firm's growth through quality client service and expanding existing relationships

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Minimum 4 years of tax experience in public accounting
  • CPA license or EA designation
  • Substantial experience with S corporation and partnership returns
  • Demonstrated technical depth across individual, fiduciary, and business taxation, including the judgment to take, document, and defend positions
  • Demonstrated review experience, with a track record of managing both client relationships and team members directly
  • Enthusiasm for developing seniors and staff
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in ExcelClear, professional communication with both clients and firm leadership

Preferred

  • Master's degree in accounting or taxation
  • Trust and fiduciary return experience
  • Experience with individual and closely held business planning

Compensation and Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Performance bonus
  • Three weeks paid time off
  • CPE and licensing costs reimbursed
  • Summer Fridays off between Memorial Day and Labor Day
  • Compensation commensurate with experience and credentials

Why This Opportunity

This is a seat with breadth. The client base runs from closely held businesses and real estate through to the individuals and trusts connected to them, so the work does not narrow to a single return type or a single industry. You would carry your own clients, spend real time on planning rather than compliance alone, and develop the staff working under you. The firm is adding people across the practice, and the scope of this role expands along with it.
