Job Overview

The Tax Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. Recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business, they must develop communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others, including internal and external stakeholders. Their impact is significant through complex deliverables. They provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the oversight and management of the Non-Income Tax reporting regimes including US State and Local Property Tax requirements, including the related compliance, financial reporting, planning and controversy processes.
• Contributes to the planning, accounting, filing and reporting of tax liability of the company.
• Supports payments to tax authorities in compliance with specific tax regulations.
• Advises on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application in own job and the business.
• Focuses on the implementation of policies and procedures.
• Uses communication and diplomacy to guide and influence others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
• Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Supports other tax reporting functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong command of Non-Income Tax reporting regimes
• Adept in compliance and process management
• Disciplined in risk and control monitoring
• Articulate in written and verbal communication

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 6-10 years of relevant experience
