Tax Director

Overseeing the operational management of the firm's tax preparation program, the full-time Director of Tax Operations will ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns through external partners while maintaining compliance and quality standards in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Manage the end-to-end operational workflow for tax preparation engagements, including onboarding, document collection, and filing Establish and maintain operational controls to ensure compliance, quality, and timely tax preparation Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, providing clear communication and support to advisors and clients throughout the tax preparation lifecycle Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, operations, or a related field Minimum of eight years of experience in tax operations, tax preparation, or financial services operations Working knowledge of individual income tax preparation processes and tax-season workflows Strong project management and process management skills with the ability to manage high volumes and competing deadlines Experience developing and maintaining operational controls, procedures, and documentation
