Tax Director – Private Client Services (PCS)

We are seeking a Tax Director to join the Private Client Services (PCS) practice. The role will be based in one of our offices and will focus on delivering exceptional tax services to private clients.

Responsibilities

• Review tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns for Federal and State Individual and Fiduciary returns.
• Oversee and manage the tax return process, including identification and resolution of tax issues.
• Apply knowledge of corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts.
• Mentor, train, and manage staff accountants to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Effectively manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment and independently; identify opportunities for new or expanded client services.
• Lead and manage engagements, including budgeting, billing and engagement economics.
• Maintain a highly proactive approach to serving clients.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
• Public accounting experience.
• CPA license.
• 10+ years of work experience in tax compliance, specializing in individual, fiduciary, estate, and gift taxation.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

• Master's degree in tax or equivalent field preferred.
