Tax AnalystThe Tax Analyst role is to provide various levels of tax accounting expertise, coupled with other technical skills, to assist with compliance. This challenging position will draw upon skills in research, accounting, problem solving and communication. Tax compliance, financial reporting, and tax planning activities will be core responsibilities for this role.
You will be partnering with the Global Tax Director and Senior Tax Manager to prepare and review local sales, business, and property tax returns, state and local income tax returns, international tax, and the federal income tax return.Key responsibilities for the Tax Analyst role are likely to include:Shared responsibility for preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns, along with quarterly estimated payments and extensions.Develop relationships with tax service provider, fund administrator, and other service providers involved in the tax function.Assist with filing of sale/use + property tax returns.Shared responsibility for income tax accounting and preparation of the annual income tax provisionResearch tax technical matter on the federal, state, and international levelSupport interim and year end audits, including both internal and external.Prepare supporting schedules as requiredPrepare federal and state corporate income tax returns including remittances.Assist in the development of the firm's Treasury function, including the maintenance of internal treasury controls.Qualifications/Education:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting PreferredCPA preferred1 - 3 years General Accounting ExperienceSelf-motivated and strong work-ethic.Superb communication and collaboration skillsExceptional attention to detail and organization skills
