Tax Accountant

A large, privately held organization is looking to add a Tax Accountant to its growing corporate tax team in Scottsdale.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3+ years of corporate tax experience, either from public accounting or an in-house tax department, who wants to build their career within a sophisticated corporate tax environment.

The Role

The Tax Accountant will support the company's federal and state income tax compliance and tax provision processes, working closely with senior members of the tax team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare federal corporate income tax returns, including Form 1120
• Assist with quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions
• Prepare supporting tax workpapers and calculations
• Assist with federal and state estimated tax payments and extensions
• Support state and local income tax compliance
• Perform tax account reconciliations and related analysis
• Research federal and state tax matters as required
• Assist with tax audits and other tax department projects
• Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams to gather and analyze tax-related information

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of relevant tax experience
• Hands-on ASC 740 tax provision experience
• Experience preparing Form 1120 corporate tax returns
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• CPA or actively working toward CPA certification
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Public accounting experience is highly desirable
• Ability to work 4 days per week onsite in Scottsdale
